About Us

People who have serious medical conditions deserve compassionate healthcare by experienced providers who will support the comfort and dignity of the patients and families they serve. Our team of professionals are committed to meeting the needs of our patients and their loved ones.

The doctors at A V Supportive Care and Hospice care became interested in palliative and hospice care as a direct result of seeing patients in emergency rooms with poorly managed pain and other distressing symptoms. Our medical director was instrumental in providing palliative care at the clinical level here locally and sees A V Supportive Care as a natural extension of his humanitarian efforts for peace through comfort.

AV Supportive Care and Hospice serves patients as well as their loved ones and caretakers when someone is:

(1) Living with a serious progressive illness and requires physical emotional, and spiritual supportive services to enhance their life quality;

-OR-

 (2)  Has been diagnosed with a late stage disease diagnosis best supported by hospice care.

This is often a very difficult time due to pain and other symptoms that result in physical discomfort. Experiencing illness can also be difficult emotionally and spiritually for patients and their loved ones.  This might include children and teens in need of special support. Our team of experienced and compassionate professionals promote care that meets all of these needs in a manner consistent with our mission—to promote positive life quality, dignity and hope.
